When Alexander Ortiz joined the Global Environmental Change Lab he was a junior transfer student from Los Angeles. Since then he majored in Environmental Science and Management with an emphasis in Climate Change and Air Quality. At UC Davis, Alexander helped co-found a new student organization known as Climate Reality Project Campus Corps at UC Davis which focuses on bringing awareness and inspiring advocacy to mitigate climate change. After graduating, he plans to do humanitarian work and continue to help educate society on climate change mitigation through research and political activism. In his free time, he enjoys trying new restaurants, playing video games and hanging out with his Shih Tzu, Chico.
